Are music videos limited by the nature of their format when it comes to telling a story? Does a music video undermine the song, or can it bring more character and nuance to it? In this short essay, Fergus McLean examines narrative-based music videos, paying special attention to the suite of videos from Radio Head. He argues that music videos are part of the storytelling spectrum and that when “these two art forms come together, they create something ‘more'”.
