Making Waves Film Festival: 21st – 30th March 2024

Making Waves Film Festival (MWFF) is Portsmouth’s annual film festival and short film competition. Our mission is to become the south central’s premier film festival, to extend the cinema experience beyond the expected and to celebrate and develop innovative filmmaking to inspire audiences.

Now running up to our 12th edition in 2024, our programme includes:

• Portsmouth’s first live cinema experience
• Community curated screenings
• Future BAFTA Winners Short Film Competition sponsored by Millstream Productions
• BFI Network and Film Academy screening
